Ted Shender ~ Artist Statement

I believe that art is one of the most important facets of human creativity. We connect with each other through forms of light, sound and motion, and I believe that the artist is capable of communicating through these elements on a deeper level. Just as a song can stir an emotion, so can a piece of visual art.

Each piece that I create represents my desire to communicate, through color and shape, my personal idea of the world and how I would like to see it. However different my images may be from one another, the central theme in my work stays the same — there is peace in motion, center in chaos.
